In the natal chart:
Orchus in the first house natally sets the native up for adherence to integrity. But here Ceres..is the deliver-er of a conjunction series, affecting Bayer publically and financially. Most people see Ceres a "a nurturer" which is only 1/2 of the story, she is mother nature, or the force of mother nature..she gives and takes away (in that order)..she is like a female Pluto. She is transiting conj Bayer's natal Jupiter in its 10th...bringing a storm of fame to Bayer.  I believe that transits..echo back into our natal positions...and on the 23rd. Jupiter was conj Apophis, Grimm, and Melancholy...which I believe colored Bayer's natal position of Jupiter, which Ceres..enhances.
Also, we see  PLuto transiting (in Capricorn/Saturn) Bayer's natal Ceres R in its 2nd house...where it has been enhancing the flow of money and abundance. So Pluto here is extinguishing that income..causing the huge stock crash.

Pele 2202 transiting Bayer's natal Saturn in its 10th, illustrates the INTENSE (Pele) restriction (Saturn/Karma) that Bayer is Publicly (10th) experiencing.
Ketu transiting conj Bayer's Pholus in the 2nd..is another indicator..of Loss(Ketu) of Finances (2nd) due to an avalanche of no return (Pholus).  Ketu is also conj Pandora..still..but it was tight on the 23rd.Bayer being 155 years old caught my eye,

Ketu transiting conj Pholus on the MC, (just like in the 2nd house of natal chart) with Ceres. The MC is public image, Ketu is Loss, Ceres..is force of nature.
We also see in the progressed chart...that Rahu and Ketu are reversed. A polarity reversal.  Sedna conj Juno are transiting Bayer's progressed Ketu.  
Sedna is tragedy and betrayal, Juno is multiple, but also "the underdog"
So here we literally see, LOSS (ketu) due to betrayal (Sedna) of the Underdog (Juno)....on the ASC of the progressed chart.. You gotta love that right?

In the 6th house of the progressed chart we also see..Mars conj Juno conj Rahu...meaning that it was a routine happening, that the underdog (Juno=Cancer also) suffered aggression (Mars) with Rahu (the unquenchable ambition) ..Mars in the 6th also indicates a military aspect to this. This conjunction is being transited by Jupiter..which on the 23rd was conj Apophis and Grimm..revealing the Grimm , evil against the commoner (Juno)..and causing the commoner Cancer (Juno).

Juno and Mars..together in the 6th ....is a routine of "causing" (mars) cancer (Juno)
